A fast-growing US coffee shop chain with more than 800 stores is eyeing up potential UK sites as it looks to expand its business, according to reports.
7 Brew, which operates drive-thru "stands" across 38 states, serves more than one million drinks daily.
It offers thousands of possible drink combinations spanning coffee, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.
Named after the original seven coffees it sold at its first stand in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2017, 7 Brew has become the US’s second-largest drive-thru-only coffee chain, behind Dutch Bros.
It is expected to open more than 400 locations this year and had signed development agreements covering 3,100 prospective sites by the end of last year.
No UK locations or opening dates have been confirmed, according to What’s The Jam?, with the news first reported by hospitality trade publication Propel.
The company is led by chief executive John Davidson and operates through a franchise model.
Investment company Blackstone acquired a minority stake in the business in 2024 to support its continued expansion.
The potential UK launch coincides with the introduction of 7 Brew’s first mobile app in the US, enabling customers to order ahead, customise drinks and collect rewards.
Meanwhile, another American brand is preparing to enter the UK market.
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls will open its first UK restaurant at London’s Spitalfields Market.
The US-based chain serves Maine-style lobster rolls and is considering opening between five and ten additional locations in the UK within the next 15 to 18 months.
