Phoenix Sports 0-2 Thurrock
From the Phoenix Sports Ground
Ryman One North
THURROCK maintained their strong play-off push with a 2-0 win at Phoenix Sports.
Fleet scored in either half to keep up the pace in the Ryman One North, with Ross Wall and Harry Agombar striking for the visitors.
Mid-table Phoenix posed some early questions for the Fleet defence, but Wall banged in the only goal of the half on the half-hour mark.
And that advantage was doubled midway through the second period when former Grays Athletic man Agombar scored.
The result leaves Fleet in second, 12 points off leaders AFC Sudbury.
Thurrock: Madden, Clark, Olafunmishe, Baker, Sutton, Goode, Agombar, Gleed, Wall, Toner, Cowley
