Cheshunt 3–0 Thurrock
From The Stadium
Ryman One North
THURROCK were comprehensively beaten by Cheshunt in the battle of the play-off hopefuls as they slipped to their first league defeat since the end of October.
A brace from Stuart Zanone and a goal from former East Thurrock striker Jason Hallett proved to be enough for the home team, who kept up the pressure for a top five finish with the result.
Thurrock were sitting nine points clear of their opponents ahead of the day’s play but Mark Stimson’s men fell behind on the half hour mark to an impressive Cheshunt side.
Zanone scored the goal and it was the same man that doubled the advantage eight minutes after half-time.
Hallett made it 3-0 five minutes later, and that was how it stayed.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, Clark, Toner, Sutton, Baker, Christou, Goode, Cole, Wall, Cowley
