FLEET fought from 1-0 down to beat Cheshunt 2-1 with goals at the end of each half from David Knight.
Joe Clemo gave the hosts the lead in the second minute before Knight struck four minutes into first half injury time to draw Thurrock level.
In the 80th minute, the former Met Police striker gave the visitors a late lead. But Dereham beating Waltham Forest 10-1 meant Thurrock dropped one place to fifth. Fleet have now won five of their last eight league games and and are in a play-off slot.
