THURROCK'S non-league football clubs enjoyed a successful couple of nights as all five triumphed in their respective mid-week games.

Ryman Premier League

East Thurrock United beat Ryman Premier play-off contenders Margate 1-0 on as they look to secure a last gasp play-off place of their own.

Dave Bryant bagged the goal that meant Rocks are now unbeaten in nine games. Their last three victories have come against local rivals and play-off hopefuls.

Thurrock won their third game in a row, significantly easing their Ryman Premier relegation fears.

A Danny Green winner in the 80th minute saw Fleet beat Met Police away from home. Lewwis Spence got the opener for Mark Stimson's side just after half time.

Met Police pegged Fleet back with a leveller before Green's winner. Thurrock are now three points clear of the relegation zone with games in hand on those below and above them.

Ryman Division One North

Grays Athletic scored two late goals as they came from behind to beat Harlow Town and make it a league record 15 wins on the bounce.

Jared Small scored in the 77th minute and Joao Carlos in the 90th after Harlow took a 69th minute lead through Piers Wixon.

A win for Blues on Saturday against second placed Maldon & Tiptree, who they trailed by 15 points in December, will see them crowned league champions with three games to play.

Aveley have one foot firmly in the Ryman North play-off places as they beat Brentwood 2-0.

Jay Leader scored Millers' first after 17 minutes before Jordan Cox notched up his 24th of the season to make it two to the good.

Bar a monumental collapse in their last six games, Millers should now finish the season in the play-off places.

They have six games to play with Heybridge Swifts next up. The north Essex side are currently one point behind Aveley and vying for a play-off place themselves.

On Monday night, Tilbury secured a great 2-1 win over Heybridge. Three goals in four frantic first half minutes proved decisive.

A brace from Emiel Aiken, who scored in the 37th and 39th minute, gave Dockers the lead.

Ofri pulled one back for Swifts in the 40th minute but Swifts were unable to salvage anything from the game.
