NON-LEAGUE: Grays Athletic have retained the services of striker Kieran Bishop ahead of next season.

The powerful forward was Blues’ top-scorer in the Isthmian Premier Division last season.

He scored 12 times and was one of few bright spots in a season that saw the club relegated.

However, the man voted player of the year by the club’s supporters has decided to stay at Grays.

He joined from National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town in November 2016 and became a firm fans favourite in his time at the club.

And Bishop took to Twitter to express his pleasure at extending his stay.

He said: “Actually chuffed with my decision to re-join @GraysAthleticFC great club, amazing staff & loyal fans..Roll on 1st July!”

Grays remain in the market for new players, with more announcements expected from manager Jamie Stuart in the weeks ahead.
