l RUNDOWN: East Thurrock United will look to preserve their excellent recent form on the south coast tomorrow when they take on Whitehawk.

Rocks have been flying in recent weeks and are currently eight league games unbeaten, albeit six of those have been draws.

However, a point against runaway league leaders Maidenhead United last time out proves how far John Coventry’s team has come since their promotion.

These two met eight weeks ago in an FA Cup qualifier, with Whitehawk victorious on that occasion, although Rocks have not tasted defeat since that day.

The Brighton-based side sit three points below East Thurrock in the standings, and were well beaten on their own turf on Tuesday, going down 4-2 against Truro City.

Also crucially, Whitehawk play an FA Cup first round replay just 48 hours after this clash, with a tie against Northampton Town the prize. Will changes be made?

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “We have played a lot of the top nine teams and haven't been beaten by any of them.

"We have drawn a lot and we are not getting beat which is positive but if we had turned a few of those into wins things would look very good for us, but I am not complaining.

"We need to turn up and if we do then we will be a very hard team to beat. I made seven changes from Saturday's draw with Maidenhead against Hornchurch but it was a very strong team in the Essex Senior Cup and that shows how far we have come.

"Whitehawk were the last team to beat us and it was their manager's first game in the FA Cup game against us. We weren't at our best but we go to them in confident mood.

"They have an FA Cup replay to look at on Monday and were beaten on Tuesday so they have a lot to consider.

"These little things might add up to help us. I look at the little things."

l TEAM NEWS: Sam Higgins is back, Reece Harris is a booking away from suspension. James Walker is doubtful.
