THE PREVIEW: East Thurrock face a test of their title credentials when they travel to the aptly-named Champion Hill to face Dulwich Hamlet.

In front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd, second-placed Rocks and fourth-placed Dulwich will be hoping to steal a march on their opponents in the race for promotion.

East Thurrock drew 0-0 with Bognor Regis Town (another top five side) last weekend but a positive result tomorrow would set up Rocks for what looks to be a favourable end-of-season run-in.

They will also be looking to take advantage of Dulwich’s blip in form. Having led for much of the season, the south Londoners have taken just one point from their last three league games, all against sides in the division’s bottom four.

The reverse fixture ended all square, as East Thurrock twice came from behind to draw 2-2.

WHAT HE SAYS: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “This is a significant game but they all are at the time of the year. If we lose it is not the end of the world although a win would be brilliant.

“We will go there and play in front of a big crowd that is very lively and full of intelligent people as well. I really enjoy the trips there, but we must remember we won’t get more points because it’s on a big stage. It is just another three points up for grabs.

“They have brought in a couple of players after their difficult spell but we know they are a good side.”
