FISHING: THERE have been some impressive hauls at the Warren at Stanford. Steven Sheldrick bagged a 26lb Common Carp in the main lake on an Avid Pop-up, Chod rig.
Trevor Mayhew, landed five Mirror carp from 17 lb to 36 lb 9 oz, plus a pike of 8lb, on Monster Squid boilies fished on the bottom.
And recently Jamie Hicks, caught three Mirror Carp to 27lb 4 oz on Mainline Cell fished on the bottom.
The recent Martch Lake event was won by Stan Howard with a brilliant weight of 34-0-0 consisting of eleven bream all caught from the railway bank on sweetcorn/pellet baits.
