MARTIAL ARTS: THE SPS JuJitsu Club based in Palmer’s Sports and Fitness Centre in Grays have had six of their students picked to represent the United Kingdom in the Random Attacks European Championships in Belgium in May.
The chosen fighters are Alex Bridger, Emma Dickens, Charlotte Bridger, Ailish Evans, Harrison Monksfield and Daniel Minter.
Also been picked is Sophia Allwood from East Thurrock’s Jikishin Jujitsu which is run by Sensei Brian Herbert.
All the students are from the Stanford and Corringham area.
The successful squad comprised Andy Jones, Ian Dingle, Jason Brooks, Alex Bridger, Carrie Bywater, Emma Dickens, Sophia Allwood, Ailish Evans, Charlotte Bridger, Harrison Monksfield, Daniel Minter, Nicholas Heal, Harry Hopgood and Tyler Smith. Also in the team are Chris Carter and Peter McCarney (not pictured).
