GRAYS winger Michael Kightly has warned his team-mates to be wary of ex-Blue Mark DeBolla when they travel to Gravesend & Northfleet tonight (Tuesday)looking to extend their unbeaten away record.

DeBolla, 23, spent a short spell at the New Rec at the back end of last season, following his release from Notts County, scoring two goals in eight appearances as Blues secured a spot in the play-offs.

But his performances were not enough to convince the club to retain his services and the ex-Charlton and Chesterfield man was snapped up by Fleet boss Liam Daish during pre-season.

And DeBolla has repaid his manager's faith by netting four times in seven games this season, all from an unfamiliar midfield role.

Kightly believes if Blues can keep DeBolla and striker Charlie MacDonald quiet, they will have every chance of keeping their unbeaten away sequence going.

"We know about Mark," he said. "He has scored a few goals this season and from centre midfield so he's someone we will have to watch closely. I'm sure if we can keep both him and Charlie MacDonald quiet then we should have a good night over there."

Kightly, who has netted six goals himself this season, has fond memories of Stonebridge Road after netting twice there last April in a hard-fought 3-1 win and he is expecting another tough battle tonight.

"It was a tough game last year," the ex-Southend man recalled. "We went one down then Pooley (Glenn Poole) scored a cracking free kick and I got a brace after that. A bit of the same would be nice but it's going to be a tough game.

"They are flying at the moment but hopefully we can go there and get a result and take it on to the Oxford game on Saturday."

Andy Sambrook, who picked up a groin strain in training last week, could be fit for a recall while Jamie Slabber, who has been struggling with a virus, could make the bench.
