In the final week of the SEDCB U16 Indoor competition Orsett needed to continue their unbeaten run against Stanford-le-Hope to win the U16 tournament outright.
Stanford-le-Hope batted first, but found runs difficult to come by scoring just 43 runs from their 12 allotted overs, Charlie being the pick of the batsmen scoring 25 not out.
The pick of the bowlers for Orsett was S Sewgobind conceding just a single run from his 3 over spell, and picking up 1 wicket. With Orsett chasing a relatively small target they just needed to keep their heads, and they did with M Pavitt (19) and S Sewgobind (16 not out) giving to give Orsett a 5 wicket victory.
It was the end of the SEDCB Youth Indoor season, with Orsett A winning the U12 tournament, Horndon on the Hill B winning the U14 tournament and Orsett winning the U16's.
