ST Clere’s Under-13 Girls completed a successful year by beating Tottenham Hotspur in the Essex Girls League Cup Final.
The Stanford-le-Hope school won 3-1 to lift the trophy, with most of the girls having played together since they were in the under-8 side.
And manager Jen Ryder said it was a fantastic achievement.
“They are a great bunch of girls whose dedication and commitment shone through in the end,” she said.
“We are really proud of their efforts and they really dug in to get the win, which they fully deserved.”
The 9-a-side team will become 11-a-side as of September, with new players required.
The team is looking for a number of experienced school or club players from the current year 7 or 8 to join.
Anyone interested can call manager Jen Ryder on 07730 677 191.
