Tilbury 0-1 AFC Sudbury
From Chadfields
Ryman One North
TILBURY were unable to stop AFC Sudbury winning the Ryman One North title as they were edged out 1-0 at Chadfields.
The Dockers had the unenviable task of stopping AFC Sudbury’s march to the title, as the Suffolk side surpassed 100 points this campaign but it was just one goal that settled the match.
Ryan Henshaw came closest to opening the scoring, as his drive was brilliantly tipped aside by Clarke Bogard in the Tilbury goal.
The only goal of the afternoon came five minutes before the interval, and Craig Parker got it. Luke Callander fizzed a cross at goal and Parker blasted into the net from close range.
Tilbury had chances to get back into the match, but few could deny Sudbury are worthy champions.
Tilbury: Bogard, Mead, Glozier, D Smith, Nightingill, Babalola, Game, Carlile, James (Martin), Richmond, Stanley (Aiken)
