Barkingside 0-2 Thurrock
From Cricklefields
Ryman One North
THURROCK closed to within four points of the play-off places with a 2-0 win at battling Barkingside.
Fleet had dropped two points in their bid to secure a play-off spot on Saturday, but they took the spoils against a home side scrapping for their lives at the bottom of the table.
Fleet didn’t break Barkingside’s resistance until 20 minutes from time, when Aaron Waters struck home a penalty.
And as the home side searched for a way back into the match, they were punished and Ross Wall slotted home to hand Mark Stimson’s men the points.
Thurrock: R Madden, G Madden, Sutton, King, L Clark, Christou, Carvell (Thompson), Waters, Spence, Wall, Menga (Stimson) (Warner)
