STANFORD-LE-HOPE’S under-15 team crushed Westcliff in a superb team performance.
They started well and after good pressure from their forwards, flanker Jack Knight picked up a fumble from Westcliff and ran in Stanford’s first try.
That lead was extended when Joe Duligall had the pace and strength to break through a determined Westcliff line and touched down out wide.
It was all Stanford and their third try came before the interval when centre Jamie Wooffitt collected Ben Kelly’s pass and ran it home.
The second half began how the first half ended with Stanford on top.
They scored their fourth try within two minutes of the re-start when Zack Burdett made the most of a tactical kick from Kelly, beat his oppossing full back and ran under the posts.
Duligall kicked his first conversion of the game to add to the lead.
Marcus Edgeway then powered over for another Stanford try and Burdett continued the scoring.
Dell had played a part in both those tries and then tasted glory of his own going over for Stanford’s last try of the day.
