LINFORD Wanderers Football & Sports Club held their annual sports weekend.
It was attended by more than 85 competitors – ranging in age from seven to 15 years.
Throughout the weekend the events were very competitive resulting in new club records for the following: Girls ages 9 & 10yrs: 100m 15.03secs (Leah Curley); 400m 1min 22secs (Leah Curley).
Girls 10+ mile: 6min 56secs (Danielle Kemp).
Boys ages 7 & 8yrs: 200m 34.78secs (Jack Warren). Boys ages 11+: Shot Put 12.17m (Harry Spence).
The event’s sponsors included: Nu Star Terminals; Rio Aggregates; Jack Petchey and the Thurrock Tool Hire company.
The weekend was blessed with great weather right up until the end.
The club has thanked the George & Dragon at Linford who helped out.
