SPEDWAY: THE Vortex Lakeside Hammers have welcomed the news that Peter Karlsson is returning to Wolverhampton following the cancellation of his contract by mutual consent with the local team.
Hammers co-promoter Jon Cook said: “It’s great for PK to be back at his true home and we wish him well.
“It’s a stroke of luck we’ve now completed our fixtures with Wolves, taking 10 of the 12 points on offer.
“We now hope they can do us a few favours in the half dozen meetings they have yet to race against our play-off chasing rivals,” he added.
Last week’s Select Challenge Speedway meeting between the Arena Essex Hammers and the Kent Kings was cancelled due to heavy rain.
The meeting will be re-staged at later date.
The next home meeting sees the Vortex Lakeside Hammers due to square up to the Poole Pirates on Friday, August 8.
