ESSEX SENIOR CUP: Southend United will be at home to AFC Hornchurch in the semi-finals of the Essex Senior Cup if they overcome Waltham Abbey in the quarter-finals.
The Shrimpers were due to travel to Capershotts last Wednesday for the last eight clash, but the tie was posponed until Wednesday, January 23, due to a waterlogged pitch.
The other semi-final will see Ryman Premier high-flyers Concord Rangers host Ryman One North side Grays Athletic at the Aspects Arena.
Canvey-based Concord booked their place in the semi-finals by beating Chelmsford City on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
Grays struck twice late in their tie at Barking to win 2-1, while Hornchurch — who won the cup in 2007 — knocked out League One club Colchester United in a seven-goal thriller.
The semi-finals are due to be played on or before Saturday, February 9, and Essex County FA are currently considering where the final will be played.
