SEA ANGLING: Southend Pier: Whiting have been caught, along with the occasional dogfish and herring.
Southend beaches: A few whiting and flounders have been caught from West Beach on night tides.
Shoebury: Whiting and the occasional schoolie have put in an appearance at Barge Pier, while an angler caught a 9lb cod near Shoebury Boom.
River Crouch: Lots of whiting are being caught.
River Roach: Flounders and eels have been providing sport.
Thamesmead & Erith: Eddie Sharp reports flounders only at both venues.
Dagenham Market: Flounders, smelt and eels have been landed.
Rainham: Flounders and schoolies have been reported at Coldharbour Lane.
Gravesend: Graham from Dolphin Angling reports whiting, codling and bass. One angler lost a big bass when his line got tangled around one of the jetties.
Walton Pier: Lots of whiting are still being landed, plus a few codling, dogfish and dabs.
Frinton: The ground is rough at Polebar Lane, but codling to 2lb are being taken, along with a few whiting.
Holland on Sea: Codling, which are just sizeable, have been caught at Brighton Road on night tides only.
Boats: Anglers fishing out of Walton aboard Misty Lady caught codling up to 10lb.
