WHAT are councils up to? I stopped shopping in Upminster because you can’t park easily.
I stopped parking in Grays because it is getting harder to park. Now I am up to the stage that I can’t even drop the pretty half of this relationship off to purchase anything because of the threat of CCTV cars and over ambitious traffic wardens. I want to park legally.
I don’t even mind paying for the parking as long as it is a reasonable charge, but the amount seems to be increasing at a fantastic rate.
I can now park in Hornchurch long enough to spend a leisurely shopping visit and all for 20p.
Why are councils reducing the revenue and customer base for local businesses?
That cuts the taxes they get and does not help anybody. – DENE WOOD, Rosemary Close, South Ockendon.
