A MAN and his 13-year-old daughter who were arrested after two men were stabbed in a park have been released without charge.

The 45-year-old man and the teenager, both from Grays, were arrested in Courtney Road, Chadwell St Mary, following the attack in Daisy Fields, off Feenan Highway, Tilbury.

One of the men received serious facial injuries, after being hit with what was believed to be wood with sharp metal attached. He was taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment. The man and girl were arrested following the attack, at about 10.15pm on May 6.

The man was questioned on suspicion of attempted murder and the girl on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The man was later bailed on suspicion of wounding with intent.
