A MAN accused of raping a woman has appeared in court.
Adekunle Adeleye, 40, is alleged to have attacked the 25-year-old woman in Chafford Hundred on Friday December 4 after meeting her in Galleon Road.
Adeleye of Fleming Road, Chafford Hundred was arrested and charged with rape.
He appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he did not enter a plea to the charge.
Adeleye was remanded in custody and will reappear at Basildon Crown Court in February next year for a plea and case management hearing.
