I WAS astounded to read of the resident of South Ockendon who was forced to pay almost £500 to have a wasps’ nest removed.
OK, the council has abdicated its responsibility to the tenants for this service, but surely the company or individual who charged such an extortionate fee for this service should be named and shamed.
I reckon many beekeepers would gladly have helped the victim for a nominal fee. – RG BEECH, Monks Haven, Stanford-le-Hope.
