BASILDON and East Thurrock MP Angela Smith is backing the Brain Tumour Research charity.
At a House of Commons reception launch of the charity, which was co-sponsored by the QD Stores Group, MPs, the charity’s trustees, and some of those whose lives have been touched by the cancer, gathered to pledge their support.
Angela Smith enthusiastically welcomed the company’s charity initiative and is determined to help raise the profile within government of brain tumour cancer.
Mrs Smith said: “As soon as I became aware of the harrowing statistics behind brain tumour cancer and the desperate need for research funding, I felt compelled to act.
“I wholeheartedly support QD’s proactive stance in raising much-needed funds and awareness.”
