12:20pm Thursday 19th March 2009
A SCHOOL reunion for people who left Gable Hall in 1985, 86 and 87, will be held on Friday April 17.
The reunion, organised by Sarah Northover, 38, and Vickey Cornwell, 40, is being held to not only see old friends after many years, but to raise money for the charities they will be running for in this year’s London Marathon.
Sarah, of Wharf Road, Stanford-le-Hope, said: “I am running the marathon for the National Blind Children’s Society and Vicky is running for the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID).
“I chose my charity as I wanted to choose a charity that my new business, Superstar PA Virtual Secretarial & Administrative Office Services, could support over the next year, and this is a relatively smaller charity who I thought could use some help.
“Vicky chose RNID as they too are a smaller charity who need their funds boosted.
“Would be great for people to see us and hopefully recognise us from our school days.”
The reunion will be held at East Thurrock Community Centre in Corringham Road, Stanford-le-Hope starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and all proceeds will go to charity.
