THURROCK Operatic Society stage their latest presentation, “Fiddler on the Roof” at Thameside Theatre next week.
Set in 1905 on the eve of the Russian revolutionary period, “Fiddler on the Roof” tells the story of the Jewish Villagers of Anatevka, who are eventually forced to leave their homes and find new beginnings for themselves elsewhere in the world.
The musical is full of memorable songs such as “Tradition”, “Matchmaker”, “Sabbath Prayer” and “If I were a Rich Man”.
TOPs are dedicating the production to the memory of their late chairman Jose Webb, who died suddenly on January 3.
Seats for the performances, which run from Wednesday March 11 to Saturday March 14, can be obtained via the Society Box Office on 01375 675591 or direct from the Thameside Theatre Box Office on 0845 300 5264.
