THURROCK'S Vue cinema at Lakeside will be the venue next week for two screenings of Handel’s great Baroque opera, Tamerlano, starring world renowned tenor Plácido Domingo as the Turkish Sultan, Bajazet. Tamerlano will be screened on Monday, December 7 at 2pm and also on Wednesday, December 9 at 6.30pm.

This co-production with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden was recorded at Teatro Real, Madrid earlier this year.

Tamerlano marks Domingo’s debut in an opera by Handel and the 126th role of his extraordinary career. Vue audiences will be able to see the performances in the latest High Definition Digital technology and 5:1 Dolby Surround Sound.
