CHILDREN who can't wait for Christmas are being urged to head to Fairkytes Arts Centre in Billet Lane, Hornchurch, for a range of festive craft workshops.

Beginning the week after half term there are two after school activity programmes in which children aged five or over can make all sorts of yuletide items including Christmas cards, crackers, tree decorations, advent calendars, games and much more.

The activity programmes, called 'Christmas Twilights' take place on either Wednesdays between 5pm and 6.30pm (beginning November 5) or Thursdays between 4.30pm and 6pm (beginning November 6) and both run for seven weeks leading right up to Christmas.

The cost for each seven week programme is £30 including all tuition and materials.

There are also three one-off sessions on Saturdays leading up to Christmas. The Christmas 'Saturday Art Scheme' sessions take place on 6, 13 and 20 December from 10am until 12 noon and cost £5 each. Children aged 5 and over can make a different decorative festive item each week.

For more information and to enrol on any of these workshops, contact Fairkytes on 01708 456308.
