A PENSIONER from Thurrock died of an industrial disease, an inquest heard.
Chelmsford Coroner's Court heard that Thomas George, 67, of Gardner Avenue, Corringham, died on October 18 2007.
He had been admitted to Basildon Hospital two days earlier suffering from breathing problems.
The court heard how Mr George had been in contact with asbestos throughout his working life.
Essex Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray returned a verdict of death due to the industrial disease mesothelioma.
