A fundraising page has been set up to support the people affected by a fire in a block of flats.
The fire broke out on the seventh floor of a13-floor block of flats in Godman Road, Chadwell St Mary, yesterday evening shortly before 6pm.
There were no reported casualties in connection with the fire.
The fire was put out by 7pm, with all residents not immediately affected by the blaze advised to remain inside their flats.
It is believed a mum and her son were in the flat affected at the time, and now a Go Fund Me page has been set up to support the family.
The council has insisted it will do all it can to support residents following the fire.

"I and her next door neighbour also have been made homeless I am now trying to raise some money for them both as they have lost everything they own please donate even if it’s a pound thank you."
