A crash has blocked the M25 near to the Lakeside turn off.
A car and a lorry were involved in the crash on the clockwise carriageway between J31 (Thurrock/Lakeside) and the Dartford River Crossing (QE2).

Update: 11.50pm
Traffic was being held, but is now being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads.
There are delays of about 45 minutes with 4.5 miles of slow traffic
All trapped traffic on the #A282 closure southbound within J1B (just after the #DartfordCrossing. @DartCharge has been released. @kentpoliceroads , #EmergencyServices and #TrafficOfficers remain on scene. Traffic prior to closure is being diverted via exit and entry slip roads

Highways England are now reporting hour long delays before the crash, with alomst 7 miles of traffic.
