The Dog & Partridge has opened its doors again following an extensive remodel.

The North Stifford pub celebrated its reopening, on March 3, by inviting the Chafford Hundred CFR volunteers to officially reopen the new look pub as guests of honour.

The pub and its staff are planning a host of fundraising events and activities in the upcoming months, aiming to raise money and awareness is support of the work carried out by the Chafford Hundred CFR team.

Located on High Road, the refreshed Dog & Partridge resumed serving guests after an extensive two-week refurbishment.

Following a significant investment, three new jobs have been created for the local area.

Commenting on the pub’s new look, general manager, John Green, said: “We’re so pleased at how brilliant the Dog & Partridge looks following the refurbishment, and we are thrilled to have Zoe from the Chafford Hundred CFR volunteers here to mark our reopening.

“Chafford Hundred Community First Responders support our community by responding to 999 calls in conjunction with the ambulance service, as well offering basic lifesaving skills training to the area.

"The responders are all volunteers, who give up their time to provide an amazing service to the local community and we’re so pleased to be supporting them.

“The pub looks fantastic following its refurbishment. We can’t wait to welcome back our regulars and the people of Grays to see what the new look Dog & Partridge is all about.”

Following the refurbishment, the Dog & Partridge will continue to look to support the local community with a calendar of fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
