Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Stanford-le-Hope earlier today.
Buckingham Hills Road, in Stanford-le-Hope, was closed in both directions from about 9am this morning.
Police were reportedly on scene until midday while the scene was dealt with and the air ambulance could land.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: "The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a road traffic collision on Buckingham Hills Road at 9am this morning (19th September).
"Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and the Essex and Herts air ambulance attended and treated two patients.
"One a female with a suspected leg injury and one male with a suspected shoulder injury were both taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital.
"Both patient’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening."
