Armed police have flooded to a road in Boreham in connection with the fatal shooting of John Pordage.
The 34-year-old was shot in the chest at about 2am on August 5 outside the BP petrol station in Baddow Road, Great Baddow.
Officers with guns surrounded a house in Main Road, Boreham, at about 5pm last night.
A spokesman from Essex Police said: "On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 15, officers carried out a search of the Main Road area of Boreham.
"The search was related to the ongoing Chelmsford murder investigation."
They added that no arrests were made and they are still appealing for information about the whereabouts of 17-year-old Bradley Blundell.
Mr Pordage's inquest is taking place today.
