SOUTHEND band The Horrors have confirmed they will be supporting Depeche Mode.

The fellow south Essex rockers will be supporting Depeche Mode, who formed in Basildon in 1980, when they headline their first UK stadium gig for 23 years at the former Olympic Stadium, in East London, alongside the launch of a new album.

The Horrors, made up of lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist and synthesiser player Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer and percussionist Joe Spurgeon, burst on to the music scene with debut album Strange House.

Depeche Mode will play the London Stadium on Saturday, June 3, as part of a 32-date European tour.

The Echo reader trips team is currently taking bookings for tickets and coach travel.
