Firefighters evacuated eighteen properties yesterday after an external gas pipeline ruptured in Bulphan.
Two fire crews were called out to the incident at 10.50am on Church Lane in Bulphan.
Firefighters carried out the evacuation by 12pm with the assistance of the gas board.
The crews stayed on hand in case of any explosions until the incident scene was made safe at 1pm.
