Elderly man seriously injured after bus accident in Tilbury
An elderly man has been seriously injured after a bus accident in Civic Square, Tilbury.
The man, who is said by paramedics to be in a life-threatening condition, was flown by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel at 5.30pm.
Two ambulances and a helicopter were called to the scene at about 4.20pm.
No other injuries were reported, though ambulance staff kept people on the bus until the scene had been cleared.
