A MASKED man in a pinstripe suit was at the centre of a terrifying burglary at a home in Grays.
A woman and her three children were in the living room of their home on Haig Road when the masked man and three other suspects entered through a back door at around 6.10pm on Wednesday, October 29.
The man, who was donning a white mask with a tear under one eye and carrying a golf club which he had picked up in the garden of the property, told the family that he wouldn't hurt them as his accomplices rifled through their belongings in the rest of the house.
Dressed in a dark blue pinstriped suit including a waistcoat and a pink tie with the word ‘Baileys’ just underneath the knot, he blocked the living room doorway preventing the family from leaving the room.
The men stole two mobile phones and an iPad and a three-figure sum of cash. No one was injured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Grays CID on 101.
