A POPULAR tribute band is coming to Stanford-le-Hope for the second time.

Scam 69, a London-based act, will be taking the stage at the Welcome Club tomorrow (Friday).

The band is made up of four members, who together reproduce the music of various punk and NewWave originals.

The foursome have been widely recognised as one of the finest NewWave tribute acts across the country and are now heading back to Thurrock after a successful gig in the summer.

The band has reproduced the sounds of the Clash, the Undertones, Blondie, the Stranglers and the Adverts, as well as many more punk hits released between 1977 and 1982.

Scam 69 will be showcasing its talents by playing a list of memorable tracks at the Welcome Club, in Victoria Road, from 9pm. Non-members can also attend the gig, but will have to pay £3 per person at the door.
