Rail passengers faced with delays tonight

First published in News

AN ELECTRICAL supply problem on the train line near Limehouse is causing delays for commuters tonight.

c2c is reporting delays of up to 25 minutes to any train services running through that station.

A statement on the c2c website said: "Train services running through this station (Limehouse) may be delayed. An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

"Greater Anglia and Transport for London are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice."

We were on a train that terminated at Grays, everyone who needed stations beyond that point had to wait at Grays. The train remained in the station for some 10-15 mins and then went empty to the depot. Too much to ask that it carried on down the line to Pitsea to get us to our stops instead we had to stand and wait for another train that was rammed to the doors. They couldn't organise a p-up in a brewery. All for the bargain basement sum of nearly £3k a year!! If there was another way into London I would take it.
