A MUM’S fundraising campaign has seen a life-saving device installed in a shop.
Charlotte Yoxall, 35, from Stanford-le-Hope, has got a defibrillator installed at John York Butchers, in East Tilbury Road, Linford.
If a person is suffering cardiac arrest, the £1,500 devices can shock the heart back into a normal rhythm. This is particularly important for Charlotte’s daughter Katie, ten, who suffers from a complex heart condition and could go into cardiac arrest at any time.
The Linford device is the sixth to have been installed in Thurrock in the last year.
