A THURROCK councillor has outlined the four key areas of transport he will pursue “with vigour” in the next year.
Andrew Smith, who is in charge of transport, highways and regeneration, cited the provision of free-flow tolling at the Dartford Crossing – due later this year – the upgrading of Junction 30/31 on the M25, the widening of the A13 and opposition to a new Lower Thames Crossing in Thurrock.
Mr Smith added: “We’re going to get more and more investment coming into Thurrock. Thurrock is the capital of regeneration in the country right now.
“People are queuing up to invest here.”
