POLICE want to reunite a number of items of jewellery that were found dumped by the side of the A13 near Tilbury.
Three necklaces and an engraved pocket watch which read: “With love, Sarah, 22nd June 1991”, were discovered on Saturday, October 12 last year, after police performed a lane closure following a road crash.
Police have spent the past five months trying to identify its rightful owner, but despite a number of enquiries have yet to find anyone.
Investigating Officer, Ds David Wilkinson, said: "Despite our best efforts, we have yet to identify the owners of these items. We are keen to hear from the genuine owners who believe any of the property shown may belong to them.”
Anyone who believes the items belong to them is urged to contact detectives at Grays police station on 101.
