MOTOWN classics will be performed later this month when travelling show, Motown’s Greatest Hits – How Sweet It Is, comes to Grays.

Songs from artists such as Lionel Richie, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson Five will feature at the Thameside Theatre, in Orsett Road, on Saturday, February 22.

The show, featuring the Formations, celebrates and recreates the music that originated in Detroit in the late Fifties, before taking audiences on a musical journey through the golden Tamla Motown days.

The show is now in its 12 year and combines great live music with stand-out choreography and singing from the band’s five-piece vocal group.

The two-hour spectacular is backed and supported by the Peter Brent Orchestra and promises to have the audience singing and dancing in the aisles.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £20, or £18 each if you buy four or more. They can bought at www.thurrock.gov.uk/ theatre or by calling the box office between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, on 0845 3005264.
