COMEDIAN Russell Brand has cancelled the latest leg of his world tour tonight in Southend due to illness.

Grays-born Brand was set to play the third of five shows at the Cliffs Pavilion before he was struck down with what is thought to be a throat related illness.

The show has been re-scheduled for April 7, following scheduled shows on March 10 and 11 at the Cliffs.

A statement from the Cliffs Pavilion read: “Unfortunately due to ill health this evening's Russell Brand - Messiah Complex has been postponed.

“However we are delighted to have been able to re-schedule his appearance for Monday April 7.

“If you have tickets they will remain valid for the new date and you need do nothing further.”

Not all the comments are poking fun at him, so people don't like him most for what he done. Then you get the people who think he is funny. Ok the people who think he is funny are in the minority.

I am a Engineering Scientist I lead a team that work at developing new building techniques for the construction and mechanical engineering industries, I drink beer, play rugby, dive and have a very broad sense of humour. I hate X Factor, BGT, The Voice, Big Brother, TOWIE and all those other brainless shows.

I understand his "intelligence and unique portray of things that matter" I don't agree with them as if you fail to vote you loose the right to moan about the government as you have failed to use your power to make things change.

Look at that radio show...

Might not be your cup of tea but the tickets were selling so poorly that both shows , on the 4th and 6th, were sold out and two additional shows have been added for March 10th and 11th, the first of which is also sold out and only a few tickets remain for the 11th.
There are a lot of acts out there who must wish they were as unsuccessful........
