Flats plan on Masonic hall approved despite frosty reception
12:00pm Sunday 25th November 2012 in News
THURROCK Council’s planning committee has approved plans to build 30 flats at the site of a Masonic hall in Grays.
The application for the site, in Lenthall Avenue, was submitted by Apex Property Holdings, and discussed at the latest planning meeting on Thursday night.
The Masonic hall has been operating at a loss for a number of years and has no other community functions other than Masonic and Rotary, which have now been moved to the Cross Keys in Chadwell St Mary.
See Friday’s Gazette for the full story.
