STANFORD-Le-Hope X-Factor star Rylan Clark paid a visit to Brentwood with judge and global superstar Nicole Scherzinger.

A large crowd of excited youngsters gathered outside Amy Child’s Salon as the pair dropped by to film for Saturday’s show.

Rylan rocked up first and was ushered into the shop belonging to his pal and former Only Way Is Essex star Amy.

The X-Factor hopeful, who made it through to the last eight on Sunday night, signed several autographs and told the gathered fans that he loved them.

He was followed over an hour later by his show mentor and ex-Pussycat Doll superstar Nicole, who arrived with a small entourage.

Wearing a hat, long coat and sunglasses, she touched the hands of some of the star-struck teenage girls, some who had been waiting for hours to catch a glimpse of her.

She was whisked into the salon where Amy, Rylan and an X-Factor film crew were waiting.

On Wednesday morning, Rylan tweeted to say: “Today’s the day... I’m bringing @NicoleScherzy home to Essex.”

Among the throng of more than 50 girls who screamed whenever Rylan emerged from the shop and screamed long after Nicole had entered Amy’s salon on Shenfield Road, were Phoebe Parsons and her friend Ellie Instance both 13.

They had been waiting in the cold to see their X-Factor idols for a few hours after hearing that they visiting on Twitter.

They were in Brentwood visiting the TOWIE landmarks but had their day made by the surprise visit of Nicole and Rylan.

Ellie, who was visitng the town from Hoddeson said: “We’re both big fans of X-Factor. It was so exciting to see Nicole, I had been looking forward to it so much.

“We’re both fans of Rylan, too. It’s really exciting.

Phoebe from Roydon said: “We didn’t know this was going to happen today. We found out Rylan was going to be here on Twitter and that Nicole was here so we came down, it’s been amazing.”

So Thurrock not good enough for Rylan ? He come's from Stanford not Brentwood. What was wrong with meeting her at Lakeside ? Instead he took her to the most tackiest shop in Brentwood , "The orange Shop" as I call it as when ever I drive past the shop if full of over processed tanned people !
He can't sing, dance or even get a note right.! Time for him to pack his bags !

I find it totally embarassing every time he opens his mouth. He wont get anywhere, he can't sing and he is NOT entertaining. Who on earth is going to buy an album of his? He's crude and obnoxious, it's time he went back to being a nobody.

The guy is a joke act, plain and simple.

When the public wake up (which they will, usually about now for the joke acts) Rylan will be gone.

Kelly+1, he is clearly not talented enough to DESERVE a place in the live shows, but only idiocy can be blamed for him still being on the show. I felt genuinely sorry for Caroline on the first show, battling so much to get there, only to lose out to a joke.

'even though he knows he isnt the best singer...'

This is what makes it a joke. The show is aimed at finding an international recording artist, and Rylan is seriously far away for that remit. With that in mind, could you explain how he ever got through to the live shows and how Louis took it to a vote instead of putting through the real singer.

Considering how Rylan was on another reality contest show, it shows he isn't interested about being the X-Factor, he just wants to be famous regardless of what avenue that can be.

The fact is, he has deprived someone with real talent and a real chance.

As far as don't watch him if you don't like him... why should someone not watch the real singers on X-Factor, just because of this joke act? When he's gone, the show will be about singing, which is what is should have always been about.

Try this one...he's only still in the show because it makes it interesting - at Simon's request. He will be in the show for at least another two weeks; the joke act always stays in until week 6 or 7, this gets the audience furious and tuning in each week to see him get voted off. By week 6 and 7 viewers have decided who should win and they keep watching to see if they were right. Viewers voting counts for nothing, it just makes Simon Cowell money, he decides the winner for this year and every year before a single public audition even takes place out of his massive book of 'undiscovered talents'. I for one can't wait until it all comes out (just like the phone in scandal of a few years ago). I don't watch the show, i'm only interested in the social interaction it causes as a result of media hype. Blumler and Katz got it right in the 1970s...
