TILBURY and Grays Athletic enjoyed contrasting results as the Isthmian North season draws to a close.

Tilbury secured three points by notching a 2-0 win over Dereham Town.

Siju Odelusi gave Joe Keith’s side a seventh minute lead at Chadfields.

And he completed his brace just two minutes after the break, as he found a way past Magpies goalkeeper Elliot Pride once again.

The Dockers were also able to keep a welcome clean sheet against a side who had been challenging for a play-off place for long spells of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Grays lost 4-1 to high-flying Heybridge Swifts at Parkside.

Joe Gardner broke the deadlock just past the half hour mark to give the visitors a slender lead going into half-time.

However, Heybridge were to double their advantage eight minutes after the interval as Tambeson Eyong found Luke Callander. The striker flicked the ball onto Joan Luque, before Callander fired beyond Lamar Johnson.

Callum Thompson halved the deficit just before the hour mark and Jamie Stuart's side were handed a golden opportunity to equalise when Ade Cole was tripped and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.

Danny Sambridge pulled off a brilliant double save to stop the Cole spot-kick and rebound to ensure Swifts would stay ahead.

And Matt Price scored two goals in the space of five minutes to end Grays’ chances of staging a comeback.
