SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond does not expect to add to his squad before the transfer window closes at the start of September.

Bond has made eight signings already this summer.

But he will not be making anymore unless someone heads out in the opposite direction.

"I wouldn’t have thought there would be anyone else," said Bond.

"If somebody left the club then that might have to change but at this stage we are where we are."

And Bond again emphasised it will take time to turn things around.

"I do think going forward it’s going to take more than one window and maybe more than two to get the club on a footing and a mentality we need to make us look up rather than down," he added.

After the transfer window closes it will reopen for January and then again at the start of June.
